Button:
Before sewing the button, put the cozy on your mug to determine ideal button placement.
Use a tapestry needle and yarn to sew on a 1-inch button. The button should be sewn on the front of the green row of the side opposite the button hole.

Cloud Applique:
ch 9 using white yarn.
Round 1: dc in third ch from hook. sc 5, 4 sc in last ch. Rotate to crochet on the opposite side. sc 5, 4 dc in last ch. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
Round 2: sl st in first dc. 6 treble crochet (tr) in next stitch. Skip next 2 stitches, sl st, 4 dc in next stitch, skip 1 stitch, sl st in next st, 10 tr in next stitch, sl st, 8 tr in same stitch as sl st, skip 2 stitches, sl st to join. Trim and weave in ends.
Your cloud applique is complete! Sew on the cloud wherever you want. I chose to sew mine next to the under-handle flap.
