We’re down to only 10 days until St. Patrick’s Day, which, as you know, is one of my favorite holidays! So far I’ve rounded up 92 of my favorite St. Paddy’s crafts and desserts, and shared free crochet patterns for two bottle cozies (the Beer Mug cozy and the Leprechaun Hat cozy).

Today will probably be the last St. Patrick’s Day craft of the year here on You Should Craft, but fear not — spring and summer are coming up FAST! Lots more free craft tutorials and crochet patterns are on the way!

Today’s craft came about because I like doodling, but don’t do it as much as I’d like. Back when I was a student, I could doodle in the margins of my notebooks during class, but now that I’m a grown-up (-ish) there isn’t much notebook action in my life. Okay, so other than keeping score in Scrabble, there actually isn’t any notebook action in my life.

Anyway, I love doodling and thought I would make my beautiful, amazing readers a couple of cute adult coloring pages for St. Patrick’s Day! It was so relaxing to draw out the shamrocks and swirls, then to color it all in with colored pencils. This experience makes me want to carve out more time for doodling and coloring — it’s so relaxing and therapeutic! Have you gotten into the adult coloring craze? How I Made the Coloring Pages:

My St. Patrick’s Day adult coloring pages are actually hand-drawn (with black fine point Sharpies and Papermate Flair pens) and then scanned into a PDF with my all-in-one printer. Well, mostly hand-drawn. I made the shape outlines on the computer, then printed them off and filled the clovers, flowers, and pots of gold in with my own designs and swirls.

For coloring the coloring itself, I used a combination of Prismacolor colored pencils (my ABSOLUTE favorite colored pencils — I’ve been using Prismacolor since art class in high school!) and regular old Crayola colored pencils (I’m a teacher, so these are all over my office).

I hope you love my adult coloring pages!! If you do, let me know in the comments below and I’ll work on some coloring pages for other holidays!
